Ilmater seemed to have a connection to the Grabby Triangle plant. Dew had intricate, bright red tattoos of Grabby Triangles on his wrists, styled so that they gave the appearance of binding Dew's wrists. When Dew scouted out the site of the former gnomish village outside Norton, he addressed the Grabby Triangles, showing them his tattoos in a reverent manner and saying "Friends. I come to you as a servant of Ilmater. I am searching for a group of gnomes, who may once have lived at this spot, who may live here now, and I ask you that I may pass through in my search for my kin."[2]
